You’re going to need a program to help you make the
actual page or pages you will use for your website.
The best program out there is made by a company called Adobe.
The program is called Dreamweaver.
Dreamweaver
will allow you to type up a web page just like Microsoft Word
allows you to type up a document—you do NOT have to
understand HTML code at all. If you can type, you can make
a webpage! Pro webpage folks use Dreamweaver, but even beginners
can handle the basic, most important features. Plus, when
you get into webpage making, Dreamweaver
will never let you down—it can do anything.
Ultimately, learning how to use a program like Dreamweaver
will make your webpage-making career much easier and much
more fun than some freebie you download from the internet.
Some people go for FrontPage or Expressions by Microsoft
(they're cheaper than Dreamweaver), but any web design tutorial
or forum you visit on the web will mention "issues"
with these programs regarding web design. "Issues"
means extra frustration--something no one needs!

for the bad news: Dreamweaver
costs about $400. Sorry, but you get what you pay for—it
will make your webpage building faster, easier and better.
For most people, the very best things are out of reach—that
fancy sports car or the house at the beach—but Dreamweaver,
the very best website-making tool, is doable. You can download
a free trial version that will expire after 30 days. Buy it
and you can have a lifetime of awesome webpage making.

(students qualify!), you can get Dreamweaver

You may be able to pick up an older copy of Dreamweaver
through Amazon or Ebay. The older versions are in many ways
just as good as the latest and greatest version. I recommend
at least version MX 2004. If you get it for cheap, you can
then upgrade to the newest Dreamweaver for about $200.
There are tons of good books out there that can show you
how to use Dreamweaver,
and there are plenty of online tutorials. Just type “Dreamweaver
book” or “Dreamweaver
tutorials” into Google and you’ll see what I mean:
